I am reading the book, The Pilgrim. John Bunyan was the man who wrote the book. He was born 1628-1688 he was in jail because he didn't like the services of the Anglicana. Since He didn't like the services he went to jail in Bedford in 1660, he was ready to suffer for his faith. Most of the time he was studying the word of God, and he started understanding it more than before. Even though hes was sad about leaving his wife and kids alone, he decided to let God take care of them. He was missing his faith Brothers so he decided to write and tell them about his experience.
He was a man of God, because even though he was in jail he was learning about God's word! His heart was devoted to God, and threw him alot of people come to christ!
Good job. This is easy to understand and to the point. one thing I dont get is what are the "faith Brothers"? It would be helpful if you could give more background into what you are reading. This sounds like a great book.
ReplyDeleteI am also wondering about the term "faith Brothers"- it sounds neat. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty well put together, but needs to follow the 3 to 5 paragraph requirement. I like how you have looked at "The Pilgrim's" moral character, what things specifically happened while he was in jail? How do these things show that he is a moral person?
This is a great start Nathalia! I have always loved the story of John Bunyan. Although like the others, I did not understand what you meant about the faith brothers. Who were they? What impact did they have in John Bunyan's life?
ReplyDeleteGood job! you gave a good back round story, but could you give a little more on your thoughts of the book? Oh and many have said this before but oh well, what do the "faith Brothers" have to do with the story?
